Day Trip: Lahn Bike Tour

Cycle through the idyllic Lahn Valley.

From Lahnstein to Bad Ems it is about 11 km. The Leinpfad leads directly along the water and is structurally separated from the road. On hot days you can swim in the Lahn. Bad Ems is an old spa town that invites you to stay.

The tour continues via Dausenau to Nassau. (approx. 22 km) In Nassau there is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool where you can also refresh yourself.

Obernhof is also worth a visit. This small wine village offers cafes and wine taverns as well as a beautiful view of Arnstein Monastery. Until Laurenburg the Leinpfad has almost no ascents. (approx. 35 km)

If 35 km of cycling seems sufficient, take the train from Laurenburg back to Lahnstein.

Otherwise, we recommend that you take the train from Laurenburg to Balduinstein.

From Balduinstein you can continue to Diez or Limburg. The train ride saves you the steep 2.5 km climb over the mountain to get back to the Lahn bike path.
