Day Trips By Bike
Bicycle day tours & mountain bike routes
We are your specialist for bike & MTB day tours on the Rhine, Lahn, Moselle, Eifel, Hunsrück and Westerwald.
After you have received your bike, we will provide you with maps and advise you on the most beautiful tours in the area. To explore a lot in a short time, our electric bikes / eBikes / Pedelecs are particularly suitable. You can easily reach castles or viewpoints, such as the Vierseenblick in Boppard. If, on the other hand, you decide to cycle along the rivers, normal bikes with 7-speed hub gears or 21-speed derailleur gears are sufficient. We have recorded some bike tours with the app Komoot. If you download the app, we will be happy to send them some links with tour recommendations via WhatsApp. The tours were ridden with eBikes or eMTB’s (eMountain bike). Should you choose a normal bike, note gradients and duration of the bike tour.
Guided Mountain Bike Tours
The mountain bike tours are planned as day tours with a total duration of 4 to 6 hours and are designed for people with average condition. The pure riding time on the bike is about 3 hours.
We also have eMountain bikes for rent. For some tours in the area we also have GPS data.
We are happy to share this free of charge if you rent MTB’s or eBikes / Pedelac with us.
Castle Tour (guided MTB Tour)
The route takes us along the Rhine to Braubach - with Marksburg Castle already firmly in view. In Braubach, the romantic little town in the Rhine valley, we first bike through the historic old town. After a short ascent to the castle, you will have the opportunity to visit it during our rest. After the cultural part, the visit of the Marksburg, we take over the bikes again and ride through a valley near Braubach up to the Waldhaus. After a refreshing break in the beer garden we return to the starting point of your Castle Tour.
Lahneck Tour (guided MTB Tour)
After a few kilometers upstream on the Lahn, we leave the towpath into a wild and romantic valley, which leads us with the bikes on a direct path to the highest point of our tour: the forester's lodge with beer garden and small animal park. After a short rest and freshly strengthened, the tour leads us on forest paths in the direction of Lahnstein a.d. Höhe. We continue through nature, along fields and meadows to the imposing Lahneck Castle. From there you have an incomparable view over the Rhine valley and forms the impressive conclusion of your Lahneck tour. Return to the starting point. (The breaks are arranged so that you have enough time to visit the sights).
Boat & Bike Tour (guided MTB Tour)
The tour starts in the historic old town of Lahnstein, passes the Martinsschloss and continues up the Rhine. Through one of the valleys before Braubach we bike through the forest to the Spießborn to reach the Lahn valley and the boats. Here begins your leisurely paddle down the Lahn. In the so-called Schleusenhäuschen we have the opportunity to fortify ourselves with small delicacies. The transfer to the bikes and the return to the starting point will end your boat tour.
Silver-Tour (guided Tour)
This tour is based on a route marked by mining. We ride up the Lahn and turn into the Erzbach valley, whose path leads us through the Lahnstein city forest to the forester's lodge. After a rest in the beer garden, we bike along the former small railway line in the direction of Braubach. Here you can visit the only never destroyed castle on the Middle Rhine, the Marksburg. Through the historic old town we ride back to Lahnstein, passing the picturesque Martin's Castle. TIP: This tour can be extended by arrangement with a visit to a small mining museum and much more information about mining.
